The buffone is gone as the prime minister of Italy! This in itself is good news! However, he is still around and has, obviously, vowed to be more active than ever. Although some believe that he gave into pressure in the corridors of Barroso and Van Rompuy then the triggering event was a motion on new austerity measures in one of the two italian chambers.

The buffone noted down on a piece of paper that there were eight ‘traitors’ forcing him to eventually step down. There are of course more ‘heroes’ than ‘traitors’. However they can never be considered full-fledged heroes considering that it took 17 years of Buffone in Italian politics and running the country down the drain, before they decided to turn their back on him! Hardly heroic behaviour although much better than the more than 300 senators who did not turn their back on him!

Don’t forget to consult the list of Buffone culprits and accomplices here on this very site.

The eight showing minimum responsibility were Roberto Antonione, Fabio Gava, Giustina Destro, Misto Calogero Mannino, Giancarlo Pittelli, Luciano Sardelli, Francesco Stagno D’Alcontres e Santo Versace.

We all meet on the 13th February at 11.00 am in front of the Italian Embassy in Lisbon, Largo Conde Pombeiro, 6 in Lisbon

To say NO to this shame!

Italy is not a brothel! As Italian and European women, as citizens, females and males with some personal dignity- we feel deeply offended and humiliated by a premier corrupted, psychologically ill; women for him are a pure pleasure object.

We want to take clear distance from show-girls and women pushed into political roles just because have been nice with the boss..

We do not believe that in any period of the recent history and in any country with a basic level of civilization something similar has never happened….

We could not believe that we had to repeat these things in 2011….

Everybody whould manifest his/her own opposition towards the fall of any moral stance.

Please come numerous, bring wine, some snacks and a panel with a sentence that represents your feeling in this moment.

The Italian music group “Anonima Nuvolari” has been invited to make the event nicer. Press information will be sent to local press, radio and TV!

It isn´t every day that the prime minister from a country urges the president from the same country to step down – and particularly not when they are from the same party and elected together!

This however is what has happened when Fini recently urged the buffone (also known as the Cavaliere or Silvio Berlusconi) to step down in a rally for his new party ´freedom and future´.

Obviously, Fini believes (better late than never) that it is time to change sides and be remembered for standing up to the buffone rather than going down with him.

Hopefully you will do the same.

Bring the buffone down or live with being known as having been passive when you should have acted – which you will be reminded of after the inevitable buffone untergang.

There is no point in reiterating the scandals and circumventions of law enforcement that the buffone has engaged in – the list is too long – but the list of excuses of not acting is shorter, or rather, inexisting.

Bring the buffone charade to an end with whatever means at your disposal.

The team behind buffone.eu

Yup, a little italian-german language mixture to get the right effect!

Several governments has failed to as have courts trying to do their job – but it is about time for a joined-up, co-ordinated effort to bring the buffone to his untergang.

The easiest would be to have the Italian people vote against him and then the new government take action. In fact the Italians have voted against him on several occasions despite him controlling the media to an extreme degree. But then the governments have failed to take action – the last from 2006 would not interfere with his conflict of interest as his empire was of italian national value – the buffone must have laughed when he heard and saw that!

So even if the Italian people voted against him the likely of any action being taken is close to zero. So what are the options? There are a couple of obvious ones – for now these will be the only ones we present here:

1. Petition:

The Lisbon treaty offers the possibility of bringing a petition to the commissioners if one million have signed it. The petition would be on conflict of interest, sure, and a million signatures should be easy to get. That the commission would take action is however doubtful. There are toughies in the commission like first Vice-president Vivian Reding but then again her boss, Durao Barroso, isn’t and would probably not push anything forward. Occassionally he wants to show that he is tough so maybe he would do it in this case – remains to be seen. Petition first!

2. European Court of Justice.

Lisbon treaty or not – the European Court of Justice has ruled that the Italian broadcasting system does not abide the EU law and therefore Rete 4 should give up its frequencies to Europa 7. However, this is simply not happening – so lawlessness brought to EU-level. Bad. European Court of Justice should be reminded to follow up on the ruling.
